The fire alarm has just been pulled… you have 60 seconds… what are you going to take? 1, 2…

Take this: Ever wonder if you are doing the right thing? Going the right direction? Doing what God had planned for your life when He whispered your name, even before your parents knew about you? I have. But I was encouraged when I read in Genesis 45 about how Jacob had just found out his long lost son Joseph, (he thought had died) was ALIVE and wanted him to join him in the land of Egypt! He was elated and he planned to go and see him. However to go to his son Joseph, it meant leaving the land God had said He promised to him and his descendants (Gen. 35:12). Although Jacobs distress over this issue is not recorded God saw his heart because Gen. 46:2-4 says, God spoke to Israel (who is also known as Jacob) in a vision at night and said, “Jacob! Jacob!” “Here I am,” he replied. “I am God, the God of your father,” he said. “Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there. I will go down to Egypt with you, and I will surely bring you back again. And Joseph’s own hand will close your eyes.” God knew and cared for the deepest parts of Jacobs heart even without him expressing it and He knows, cares and loves the deepest parts of you too. He’s calling out your name too or you wouldn’t be reading this and He wants to walk this day with you and give you wisdom and discernment to see clearly in your wonderings. So lean into Him today and allow Him to quiet you with His unfailing love.

…59, 60. GO!
