Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him. Psalm 37:7
The fire alarm has just been pulled… you have 60 seconds… what do you take? 1, 2…
Take this: Exodus 23:29-30 But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you. Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land. – God told the Israelites He would give them the promise land but it would be in His perfect timing… little by little. Ever feel like maybe God forgot you you’ve been waiting so long? I can assure you sweet child of God He has not forgotten you. He cannot and Scripture says He will not! (Isaiah 49:15) Remember Jonah crying out to God from the belly of the whale in Jonah 2….Jonah didn’t know it but all those three days in the whale God was moving his whale toward shore. God is always moving (John 5:17) and He cannot forget you. Trust His timing. He sees things we can’t and understands things we don’t. Like the Israelites and the promised land God knew they would be in danger of wild animals if the land was given too quickly the Israelites needed time to grow and strengthen in number to be able to handle the blessing He had for them. The same is true with us.. big assignments require big character… trust that He has not forgotten you and is moving in your life, trust that His way is best and so is His timing…if you are in a pause.. rest and grow, be still and know.
