Take this: Sometimes we just have to let it go. Moses did in Exodus 4. Moses was concerned that he would not be able to accomplish the task God had given him, that maybe people would not believe he was on a mission from God Himself! Ex. 4:2 Then the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand? “A staff” he replied. -Now this staff would have been Moses’ precious tool of trade, one he used to defend himself and protect his sheep with. God said drop it. Verse 3 the Lord said, “Throw it on the ground.” God then proceeds to show Moses what He can do through that staff… and it would blow anyones mind! Later in Ex. 4:20 I find it interesting that as Moses is packing up to follow God’s orders he packs his staff but now it’s called, the staff of God! Jesus help me to let go and let You. That thing I cling to so tightly…help me to trust You by placing it back into Your Mighty hands and just stand back as you blow my mind.
