And what is more, it is the third day Luke 24:21
The fire alarm has just been pulled… you have 60 seconds… what will you take? 1, 2..
Take this: Binoculars or magnifying glass?! One tool you use to bring far things up close and the other is to bring close things closer. Today let me suggest the magnifying glass. Why? So often like the men on the road to Emmaus we focus on our expectations for the future we have our eyes so glued to the binoculars that we are missing how God is working all around us in our present! Luke 24:21 but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place. They were so focused on their own perspective of their situation that they were missing God’s perspective and the fact that He was in their present walking right beside them!! How often with my binocular vision do I become consumed with what I am praying for rather than Who I am praying to. The longer the wait (like the men headed to Emmaus said its been THREE DAYS) the more clouded my vision becomes if I allow my perspective to be on the object of my wait rather than the Who I am waiting with. So today Lord let me take along my magnifying glass so that You might be magnified in my current situations and circumstances. I don’t want to miss you walking right along side me. Give me Your perspective today Lord, reveal more of Who You want to be to me today and help me to let tomorrow… all my tomorrows, rest in Your mighty hands.
59, 60. GO!
