…he already had in mind what he was going to do. John 6:6
The fire alarm has just been pulled… you have 60 seconds… what do you take? 1, 2..
Take this: For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph. 2:10 God is a planner and you were no random thought, your life has a specific purpose planned out by the God of the universe before you even took your first breath. He is a God of detail just look at His building instructions for the ark, the tabernacle, priestly garments… creation itself for that matter and the neat thing is that it pleases Him to involve us! The world is loud about how far we fall short and if we are not careful we will allow those voices to drown out Truth. Don’t think for one second you are not enough… the boy in John 6 despite the crowd of 5,000 stepped up without making excuses giving God his 5 loaves and two fish. People could have made fun of him, Andrew already made the observation that it wasn’t enough. 7 times alone in Exodus 25-27 as He reveals His plans He says I will show you… I will give you… I will meet with you… I have shown you… 7 times He says these things!! He also says in Ex. 26-28 7 different times that He has skilled certain people for certain jobs such as craftsman and embroiders and He has given some wisdom in certain areas to do specific jobs but I’m also reminded of how He chose Moses to do a job involving much public speaking and Moses had a stuttering issue. Sometimes He asks you to step up and serve Him in an area He has gifted you at and sometimes He may call you to do something in your weakness so that He can be your strength. Either way it involves trusting a God who’s ways and thoughts are higher than ours and who promises to be with us always…ALWAYS! What did Jesus do when the little boy placed all he had in Jesus’ hands? John 6:11 He gave thanks. Oh how it must please Him when we who are made in His image choose not to slink back but to believe and trust that in Him we are enough. More than enough, we are conquers!
