Last night I was taking my oldest son, my 12 year old, to an event. It was just he and I in the car so I asked him if he wanted to share anything he had been hearing from God in his personal devotional time with Him. He said, “mom, there is no half way. God is faithful all the way all the time. So I can face an uncertain situation and not say well I’ll trust You a little God, I think You might be able to get me through… I can fully trust Him all the way no matter how long it takes…He only does things all out all the way. All His promises are true and can be trusted.” Ok so as we pulled up to the red light I was speechlessly thinking about all my 12 year old had just said… so much so that about 2 seconds into the green light he says, “uh, mom, its green.” My son said look at Noah in the bible who trusted God about the flood 120 years, Noah worked on the boat faithfully trusting in his God and his timing. Then we see God’s faithfulness in his rainbow. Gen. 9:16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth. – I thought how right my son is that our God is no half way God and He desires our all the way faith because He is a God that is faithful all the way! I was reminded of the blessing He made to humanity in Gen. 1:28. To Adam and Eve in Gen 1:28 God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful and increase in number. Then in Gen. 9:1 after the flood God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, Be fruitful and increase in number. Then in Gen. 35:11 And God said to him, “I am God Almighty; be fruitful and increase in number. A nation and a community of nations will come from you, and kings will come from your body. The land I gave to Abraham and Isaac I also give to you, and I will give this land to your descendants after you. -God never forgets His promises we are the ones that through out generations continue to need to be reminded of His blessing on the human race. He tells us to be fruitful… we can only be that truly when we are in Jesus. John 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. – Gal. 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self control. Lord I pray You keep me in You, trusting You full out all the time to be the great I AM. I praise You that You are no half way God and even when I fall short and only come half way the fact that You have already come the full length rescues me! 2 Tim. 2:13 if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself. – Today Jesus give me faith like my 12 year old son, to go all out for You, my all out God!
