If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
The fire alarm has just been pulled… you have 60 seconds… what do you take? 1, 2…
Take this: Interesting factoids…Exodus 2:3 tells us that Moses’ mom got a papyrus basket for him and coated it with pitch and let it float along the Nile in order to save him. The words papyrus basket are two Hebrew words with Egyptian origin and the Hebrew word for basket is used only one other place in reference to Noah’s ark in Gen. 6:14! Noah is instructed to build an ark and coat it with pitch in order to save his family. In a sense Moses’ basket was a mini version of the large sea worthy papyrus boats! Now get this!! (Maybe I’m the only one getting excited!) Both the basket and the ark were coated with what? Pitch! The Hebrew word for pitch is Kopher (Strongs #3724) and is from the root word atonement or covering! WOW! Both the ark and the basket were meant to protect and save! This points us to Jesus and His work on the cross, His atoning blood which was shed, covers and cleanses us from our sin! His message of His love for us is all around and He’s always speaking it! Do you hear it? Do you believe Him? Than do not be afraid to declare with your mouth, for all to know… Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that He is the only Savior, the only Way, and you will be saved!
