A Field Of Second Chances

“If every life you touched were a field and everything you do and all the words you say were seeds – what would the harvest be?” I heard the other day someone say lets not do a work
FOR Him, lets do a work FROM Him. That’s an adventurous way to live always keeping your eyes pealed for ways you see God at work -John 5:17 Jesus says “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.” Always readily available to however He might want to compete a work through your life! Because we know that John 15:5 says “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. -Micah 6:8 He has shown us what is good. And what does the Lord require of us? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. -So what about when I screw up…miserably?! Well, lets look at Lot a man who in Genesis 19:7 calls perverted people friends and in 19:8 offers his daughters to a homosexual mob and in 19:16 hesitates when angels tell him to move! Yet in 2 Peter 2:7 Lot is called a righteous man! A righteous man!?! Yes! Righteousness is imputed solely on the basis of simple faith. Read Romans 3:10-22 and we will find NONE of us are righteous, verse 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. – To all who believe in Jesus as God, Savior! Think of the criminal on the cross next to Jesus dying, confesses his belief in Luke 23:43 and Jesus says today you will be in Paradise! Only God can see and judge the true condition of a heart – (1 Samuel 16:7, Heb. 4:13) Think of the first time the word prophet is used in the bible Gen. 20:7, referring to Abraham when one might think God would be embarrassed by his behavior but God says no he is still my guy! God tells Abimelech that Abraham will pray for him and I’m thankful that when sometimes my human error may have discredited myself to some and they no longer ask for my advise or help I however can still pray for anyone! I pray that God’s truth that no one is so hopelessly lost that He can not save and use for His glory will sink to a very deep part of my being because Satan’s lies can be deafening in this area. Romans 11:29 say God’s gifts and call on your life are irrevocable.- Praise Him!! I did nothing to earn them, they were sovereignly given and therefore I can do nothing to lose them either, yet I can make a choice believe God for who He says He is and who He says I am or not to. He has told us all things can work together for good (Romans 8:28) that He will never leave us nor forsake us (Matt. 28:20) that He will give us the desires of our heart when we take delight in Him (Psalm 37:4) He’s told us that our sins are forgiven when we ask and believe (1 John 1:9) that His love for us is everlasting (Jeremiah 31:3) and that in Him we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37)! Gosh I choose Him!! Choose Jesus, because its not by might nor by power, but by His Spirit, says the Lord Almighty. (Zechariah 4:6) Believe Jesus, the ruler of all things!! (1 Chronicles 29:10-13) The God of the field of second, third, fourth…100+ chances while we still have breath in our lungs and a beat in our heart to make a choice in the seeds we sow…what will your harvest be?!
