And with these words Satan lost his bet… Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him
– Job 13:15
Let me back up a bit… Job 11:7-8 Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty? They are higher than the heavens – what can you do? They are deeper than the depths of the grave – what can you know? Job 12:13 and 16 To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are his. – To him belong strength and victory. – There is no one like our God, no one! Praise the mighty name of Jesus! So when we like Job chose to utters words like Job did in chapter 13 verse 15 Satan looses!! It takes great faith to come to the Lord for healing, for blessing, for the miracle, but even greater faith to say but Lord if you choose to say no, like you did to Paul when in 2 Cor. 12:8 Three times I (Paul) pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. (verse 9) But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Then I like Job like Paul will say… I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. Though you slay me, yet I will hope in You! Because You know things I don’t, You understand things I can’t and…. You, were slain, for me. I trust You to do whats best. Matt. 11:6 Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me. – Who doesn’t lose faith because of the way He chooses to do things. That is faith unshakable given by the One who will not be shaken. “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? – But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Cor. 15:55,57) I just need You Jesus, more of You.
