Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD Almighty. Zechariah 4:6
The fire alarm had been pulled… you have 60 seconds… what will you take? 1. 2…
Take this: Discouragement has a way of taking our eyes off of Jesus and focusing back on ourselves sadly. Look at this example in Exodus 6:9-12 Moses reported this to the Israelites, but they did not listen to him because of their discouragement and cruel bondage. Then the Lord said to Moses, Go, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the Israelites go out of his country. But Moses says to the Lord, If the israelites will not listen to me, why would Pharaoh listen to me, since I speak with faltering lips? You see Moses was insecure about his inability to speak well and after increased hardship in doing God’s will Moses, like many of us would have, became discouraged. I can’t go to the king God, my people won’t listen to me and I don’t even speak well! If I remember correctly God did not say Moses I’m choosing you to lead my people out of bondage because you speak SO well! No, I thinking He said something like, I made your mouth Moses and I’d like to use it for My glory if you are willing to trust me. He did say things would be ok because of HIS mighty hand though (Ex. 6:1). Its so easy to allow our gaze to slip from the Mighty hand that upholds us and says to us do not fear, back onto our selves. Like if ever depended on us in the first place!!! Its all about Jesus, friends….. and it always has been.
