Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 2 Cor. 6:14
The fire alarm has just been pulled… you have 60 seconds… what will you take?
Take this: Marry someone who loves Jesus.
Joshua reminds the Israelites before he dies the importance of holding fast to the One True Lord. In Joshua 23:12-13 he mentions the impact the choice you make in who you will marry will have on your life… choose wisely! But if you turn away and ally yourselves with the survivors of these nations that remain among you and if you intermarry with them and associate with them, then you may be sure that the LORD your God will ho longer drive out these nations before you. Instead, they will become snares and traps for you, whips on your backs and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from this good land, which the LORD your God has given you. Making a lifelong commitment to someone who is not a lover of the One True God is likened to a snare, a trap, whips on your back and thorns in your eyes!! The decision of who to marry is not one to take lightly and one we as parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends… can not pray over enough for our unmarried loved ones.
