But David found strength in the LORD his God. 1 Samuel 30:6
The fire alarm has just been pulled… you have 60 seconds… what do you take? 1, 2…
Take this: You still have strength left.
It may not be your strength, but you always have His strength left. David and all his men had been severely plundered and 1 Samuel 30:4 says, David and his men wept aloud until they had no strength left to weep. Ever been there? Not a good place. But David knew whether it was good times or bad the source of his strength was not within himself it was in God. This world is loud and seems to be even louder when we are at our lowest, the lies can be deafening and the temptations overwhelming but David in his weakness allowed God to be his strength, his counsel, his wisdom, and he turned to God and inquired of Him in his distress. 1 Samuel 30:8 says, David asked God if he should pursue his enemies, would God be with him if he did and grant success?! God was faithful and answered David because God always answered prayer, always. This time God gave the green light and David trusted God and ended up fully restored. That’s just God’s way, He never comes up short on strength for your moment, but are we going to Him to receive it?
