He Told Her First

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. Revelation 22:17

Oh heart keep time with the beat of His love song in His Word! In John 4 Jesus chooses to reveal His living water FIRST to a woman; a woman whom all society would almost fail to recognize as worthy of basic human rights! I find this so enrapturing!

Do you know the King of kings finds YOU enrapturing! He wants to give you living water too! John 4:14 states, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life. This is what He told the Samaritan woman at the well! YOU are worth it, I want you with Me for eternity! What a message to a woman who had had 5 husbands and probably felt like no one wanted her for any length of time let alone eternity!! Yet she chose to believe against the odds and she shares the message He entrusts to her with her whole city!! Courageous! Isn’t that how it is, when He enraptures your heart with His love you can’t help but share it!

John 4:42 is so filled with hope! They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.” WOW! Those that probably wouldn’t even talk to her before are thanking her for bring Jesus to them! She changed the population of heaven and hell that day in His strength!

Might we be so courageous to take hold of His love, to believe what He sees and says about us; allowing Him to embolden us to then share it with the world!! His love is SO immense beyond comprehension; that message that He thought to first bring to who the world would deem as a lowly Samaritan woman was of such great importance that He includes it once again in Revelation just before He closes His Word for us all!! Come! And let him who hears say, Come! Whoever is thirsty, whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life!! Have you taken the free gift?! Will we freely share it?! I pray so!
