A “rainbow” painted just for you: Purpose in Patmos – When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. Revelation 1:17

Did you know that Moses was the first person with a tablet, downloading data from the cloud?! Needless to say however, we sure have come a long way in that process right!! This reminds me that if I want God’s promises I need to trust and walk with Him through HIS process.

The disciple John, often referred to as, “the disciple whom God loved” was exiled to the seemingly God forsaken island of Patmos after a failed attempt to boil him alive!! If you were John might you begin to doubt that you were still the one whom God loved or even noticed for that matter?!?! Maybe today you find yourself on your own “island of Patmos” wondering if God still loves you, still sees you… Take heart dear one, God has great purpose for every single “island of Patmos” in yours and my life! He did for John’s too.

On the island of Patmos God met with John and gave him a revelation of hope for all people!! God revealed to him how the story, our story, in Jesus ends! We have the victory, we don’t end on “Patmos”. Death has lost its sting and the King of kings and Lord of lords comes back for us and we live eternally in paradise with Him! Every “island of Patmos” we arrive at we can choose to look up toward God Almighty, and be willing to receive His greater perspective and purpose for it. He has a greater revelation of Who He wants to be to us that we never could have received otherwise. A revelation of Him we can share with a dying world so that they might know Him and see Him more clearly and live!

Are we willing to trust His process in order to receiving His promises with open hands? Don’t be afraid dear one and don’t let your problem override His promise; He is the First and the Last, Faithful and True. *Independent Read: Rev. 19:11-16, 21:1-7, 7:9-12
