Reigning Rainbows Devotional (Matt. 13:16) – 45 of 52
Song pick of the week: https://youtu.be/jEK6_rz26z0 “See A Victory” By Elevation Worship
A “rainbow” painted just for you: Call It Out – no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD. Isaiah 54:17 NIV
Ever played that card game where you have to call out someone else’s bluff? I don’t know about you but that can be heart pounding… I mean, I think the person is bluffing but I’m not totally sure and if I’m wrong I’m out! I don’t want to be wrong!! This card game, like life, comes down to evaluating the risk; are the stakes worth it or not.
In Judges 4 we find plays being made on the battlefield of life with stakes a whole lot higher than losing a few cards! In verse 6 God commands Barak to call out his warriors and then God will call out the enemy army (which FAR outnumbered Barak’s warriors) and then get this… God says, THERE I will give you victory. WHAT?! Yes! Barak was up against an invincible enemy army and God asked him to CALL OUT what he had and THEN and THERE in front of impossible odds is where God brought about a VICTORY!!!
Are you brave enough to call out the enemies bluff over you? Are you willing to step forward in the Truth of what God says about you? Do you trust God enough to stand up in the undefeated Light of Christ? If you’ll call out what you already have in Jesus, dear one, the enemy will flee! It’s there in that God-confident space that nothing will be able to overcome you; it’s where you will taste the sweet victory that’s been there all along! Praise Him!
