A “rainbow” painted just for you: Don’t Forget Your Filter – “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8 NIV

What filter is in front of the lens of your eye, the sound waves of your ear and the thoughts of your mind? Does it need to be switched? I know our house’s air filter needs frequent changing out because so much junk gets caught up in it! Frankly it’s disgusting to even think what we would be breathing in if not for that air filter!! So how’s your PERSONAL filter holding up?

How would your perspective be clearer if you were using Rev. 1:8 to filter all circumstances and situations before they got through to your five senses?! Or maybe Job 32:8, it’s the breath of the Almighty that makes us intelligent or gives us understanding. Or Job 33:12, God is greater than any human being. Job 34:3 tells us that the ear tests the word it hears just as the mouth distinguishes between foods. Are we filtering all that the world feeds us through God’s Word in the Bible? Matt. 11:15 reminds us that anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand! Take hold of Him who is our understanding! Job 34:14-15 reminds us that if God were to take back his Spirit and withdraw His breath, all life would cease, and humanity would turn again to dust.

How are we reverencing just Who our God is in every part of life? Don’t forget Who He is. Don’t forget who He has said you are! While talking to the crowds one day about John the Baptist Jesus asks in Matt. 11:9, were you looking for a prophet? Yes, and he is more than a prophet. *More than…

Dear one don’t forget who you are in Christ. Because of who He is, you are MORE THAN your past mistakes, MORE THAN what the rumors have spread, MORE THAN your job title or the last posting on social media. From the beginning to the end let the Truth of the Almighty Everlasting God be your filter.
