A “rainbow” painted just for you: Prime Time – Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1 NIV
A wise friend once told me, “Rest in Him and the rest will come.” Rest… why is that so hard to do?! Afterall we were created to abide in Him. The bearing of fruit from our lives is not dependent on how much we “do” but actually in how much we rest in Him!! We can get all in a bunch because we want a bunch of fruit or fruitfulness to come from our lives. We worry and fret which only accelerates the aging process which is another reason to worry and fret or fret and worry… oh good grief, we all know what kind of chair the worry chair is… a rocking chair!! Ever moving and yet going nowhere… while life passes us by.
How old was Jesus when He officially started His ministry? 30! How long did it last? 3 years and He changed the world! Sarah became a mom at 90, Caleb started at 40 and by 85 was still begging God to bring on the next mountain! Moses was 80 when he got rolling, maybe that’s why God had him use just a stick to part the Red Sea?! I don’t know because at 600 God had Noah building the largest boat known to mankind (without construction vehicles!) Who can know the mind of God?!
What we do know is that which He plans, He provides for. He provides the strength, energy, ideas, all of it. God said Caleb had a different attitude than the rest. May it be said of us no matter what situation we are in or how old we may be, we choose a different attitude than the rest of the world.
May we choose to rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Our prime time will always be His time and if we are still breathing may I dare say, don’t worry… the best is yet to come! For the Author of all time doesn’t waste it dear one.
