In Every Season – All The Time

The book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible reminds us our God is the Author of all time and seasons. We learn that, What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. Ecclesiastes 1:9 Now we can perceive this verse from down in “Eeyore’s Pit” or from the top of “Tiggers Triumph”.

We can rationalize that if nothing’s new or going to be new under the sun and really, if you look at it, socially, politically, emotionally… we humans tend to cycle on the hamster wheel! (Case in point: Back then decrees were made to social distance from the lepers, now decrees are made to social distance for other diseases…nothing new really.)

OR we can rationalize that if nothing is new under the sun, and the Son of God still reigns the same yesterday, today and forever, then our good God remains the Author of all time and seasons, all His promises are steadfast and nothing reigns over our conquering King! No oppression, depression, tragedy, failure, sickness or setback can set His child back in Him!! He still fights for family, still shelters the weak, still revives the weary, provides for the poor! He still breaks the chains of strongholds and pierces darkness with Light, He is still leading His own in triumphant victory because He is the Victorious One!!

Ears to hear and eyes to see – both are gifts from the LORD. Proverbs 20:12 (NLT) Unwrap the gift of His Almighty perspective for His filter is always Living Hope dear one!

Today my children left for school (for the first time this season) in fall attire, for change is in the air! There is a crispness to the morning now that revives the senses as you step outside. It’s as if God is grabbing our attention to remind us in all your “seasons” and at all times, He is moving, working for our good and His glory! Will we take time to notice?!

As we observe the changing of the seasons in the air from summer to fall we take note that this change only leads to the deadness of winter. Again another opportunity to sit in “Eeyore’s Pit” or jump on “Tiggers Triumphant” perspective! What we may perceive as “dead” is really only a season of REST while God continues to work the miraculous!!!

The LORD directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way? Proverbs 20:24 (NLT) As my mom reminded me this morning, it’s not joy that makes us grateful; it’s gratitude that makes us joyful and when we rest in the powerful Truth of His unfailing Word in every season, we can rise triumphantly unshaken, all the time.

God bless you muchly~ Janette
