My names Janette and I’m so very glad you have come across this site as I sure enjoy meeting new people and I especially enjoy sharing the passion Jesus ignites in my heart for Him. I’m a teacher by degree and enjoy the beautiful outdoors of Colorado where I reside with my family of 8. Yes, I said 8 that’s not a typo, I have been married since 2003 to a wonderful man and if you’ve seen the movie “Cheaper By The Dozen” that’s our life, although we title it “Cheaper By The Half-Dozen”! Raising our team of six young kids just 8 years apart lends itself to adventurous ways daily in which to see Jesus in the big the small the messy and the beautiful. …His word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot. Jeremiah 20:9 I’d so love for you to tell me a little bit about yourself, just drop me a note from the Contact page. I look forward to hearing from you and while you are here take a moment to look around!
“Overflowing Hope” contains two different types of devotionals. All devotionals will be posted on the “TreasuredUpAndPondered” page. However to quickly navigate between the two different types of devotionals you can use the drop down menus on either the “Senendipity devotional!” page or the “Got a minute?” page. The serendipity devos are a bit longer and tie the everyday adventures of life to Scripture in hopes to uplift and encourage the reader (and the writer as He inspires) with smiles in the serendipities of life. After all we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28) right!! The second devotional is shorter in length for those on the go. Each of these devotionals is prefaced “The fire alarm has just been pulled… you have 60 seconds… what do you take? 1, 2… Take God ..59, 60. GO! The “Take God” sections are the 1 minute devotional part which point to the fact that He spoke from within the fire “I AM” and no matter your situation or circumstance He is all you need-all the time, all the time-He is all you need. He will stand with you in the fire, walk with you through it, maybe even take you up in it and sometimes He keeps you from it altogether, however, He never ever leaves you. I pray you are as blessed by reading as I am by writing.
In His grip, by His grace and for His glory,
